Abstract
The present invention provides an effective reconnection method of AM RLC in a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) system. In the RLC reconnection method according to the present invention, the AM RLC entity determines the direction in which reconnection occurs, and when the receiving side direction of the RLC entity is reconnected, deletes only a control protocol data unit (PDU) related to the receiving side direction. When the sender direction of the RLC entity is reconnected, only the control PDUs related to the sender direction are deleted. Therefore, when the RLC entity is reconnected, the present invention selectively deletes the control PDUs related to a specific direction, and after reconnecting, immediately transmits the newly configured control PDUs to the counterpart entity, thereby improving data transmission speed and reducing communication time. Reducing the effect is effective.
