Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for short handover delay in a wireless communication system using a beam forming method and a device thereof are provided to minimize increase in handover delay by selecting a beam and by omitting a beam selecting process in a handover process. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(510) executes a scanning process or an association process with a serving BS(Base Station)(520) and neighbor BSs(530,540) in order to determine a UL(UpLink) beam or a DL(DownLink) beam. The terminal generates an air handover response message according to an air handover request message of the serving BS. The terminal executes a beam selecting process with a handover target neighbor BS. The terminal executes a handover process. (Reference numerals) (510) Terminal; (520) Serving base station; (530) Neighbor base station(A); (540) Neighbor base station(B); (AA,BB) In case of requiring Association Negotiation; (CC) In case of determining handover; (DD) In case of operating;
