Abstract
Aspects of the disclosure may include resource elements (REs) â€â€a resource together with a set of ports of a base station (scheduling entity) from which a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) can be transmitted. CSI-RS resources specifying that CSI-RS may be transmitted on elements (REs). Within a set of ports for a particular CSI-RS resource, one or more port groups can be further configured. Each port group identifies a group of ports associated with a channel. In some examples, the port group identifies the ports, on which the CSI can be measured. Other ports in the set of ports outside of the port group can be utilized for interference measurements.
