Abstract  Abstract

The present invention provides a method for logical channel identification transmission in multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS). The method includes the following steps: an evolved node B (eNB) indicates to a user terminal (UE) a radio frame or a radio sub-frame bearing a MBMS control channel (MCCH) through a system broadcast message (101); the UE reads the content of a media access control (MAC) header from the radio frame or the radio sub-frame, identifies the logical channel type according to the content of the MAC header and reads data from the MAC service data unit (SDU) (102). The invention also provides a logical channel identification transmission system in MBMS. By applying the invention, the UE is able to identify the logical channel type accurately in the case that several different types of MBMS logical channels are multiplexed in a MAC protocol data unit (PDU).
