Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: mobile communication systems mobile stations and their intelligent modules. ^ SUBSTANCE: mobile station location is found for definite mobile station by timing difference of signals received from at least two (or better three) base stations using data on location of mentioned base stations. These data on location are transferred to mobile station in encrypted form so that they can be used only by mobile stations assigned decryption key by operator for deciphering data on location. Decryption key is transferred to each individual mobile station. Decryption can be made in intelligent module of mobile station and in this case no data on location other than encrypted ones can appear beyond intelligent module which makes these data confidential. When the only thing required is ability of payment assignment location can be deciphered and found at any other point of mobile station. Decryption key can be changed and in this case new one is transferred to mobile station preferably periodically in connection with location updating procedure. ^ EFFECT: ensured privacy of station location services. ^ 13 cl 10 dwg
