Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: for operation on several carriers a terminal receives the assignment of several forward line (FL) carriers and at least one return line (RL) carrier. The carriers can be packed into at least one group where each group comprises at least one FL carrier and one RL carrier. The terminal can receive packets on the FL carrier(s) in each group and can send confirmation for the received packets through the RL carrier in such a group. The terminal can send notification on the channel quality indicator (CQI) for FL carrier(s) in each group through the RL carrier in such a group. The terminal can also send data on RL carrier(s). The terminal can transmit a defined RL signalling (e.g. initiate a call) on the main RL carrier and can receive a defined FL signalling (e.g. for establishing a call connection) on the main FL carrier. ^ EFFECT: increased transmission capacity. ^ 64 cl 19 dwg 2 tbl
