Abstract
FIELD: information technology.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video encoding/decoding. Disclosed is a method of signalling information for video data. Method includes a step of determining minimum size of coding unit for video sequence wherein video sequence includes a plurality of images. Each of said plurality of images includes a plurality of coding units respectively and each of said coding units corresponding to respective assembly of respective quadtree data structure. Each of coding units includes syntax elements that define prediction data and corresponding set of samples for coding unit minimum size of coding unit is a size of coding unit minimum of plurality of different dimensions of coding unit of coding units which are used to encode said plurality of images.EFFECT: high efficiency of encoding/decoding video data by smallest signalling coding unit for video sequence.36 cl 5 dwg 6 tbl
