Abstract
FIELD: data processing.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of encoding / decoding video data. Video data decoding method comprises: decoding with a video decoding device comprising one or more processors random access point (RAP) pictures; identifying one or more pictures of a first type associated with the RAP picture wherein one or more pictures of the first type precede the RAP picture in the output order value follow the RAP picture in the decoding order and refer to video data earlier than the RAP picture in decoding order; discarding one or more pictures of the first type; decoding one or more decoded initial pictures for RAP picture in accordance with a constraint which forces the given condition to be true the predetermined condition requiring that all of one or more pictures of the first type precede one or more decoded initial pictures associated with the RAP picture in the output order; and outputting the decoded RAP picture.EFFECT: preventing unevenness in frame rate.57 cl 11 dwg 8 tbl
