Abstract  Abstract

The proposed method for terminating access to a wireless communication system channel implies monitoring data transmission over the forward communication channel with high data bit rate in a system in which the base station transmits data to a terminal only when the data for the transmission are available. The base station provides the minimal length of the time interval required at least for terminating the access to the communication channel by transmitting the burst of the system configuration data that permit or forbid the access to the communication channels in the system. If the terminal has received the burst of data that indicate the termination of the access to the specified channel or all the channels the use of the said channels will be immediately terminated. If the terminal cannot recognize the system configuration data within a specified time interval the terminal will be free for data communication with all the base stations and communication channels of the system.
