Abstract
A method and a system for processing a bearer under an idle mode signaling reduction (ISR) mechanism are provided. The method for processing a bearer under an ISR mechanism includes the following steps. A mobility management network element acquires an access mode of a current network. The mobility management network element notifies a serving gateway (SGW) of the access mode of the current network so that the SGW processes bearer according to the access mode of the current network. It can be ensured that the access mode of the current network is consistent with the access mode for a policy and charging control (PCC) strategy adopted during a bearing procedure under the ISR mechanism.

1. A method for processing a bearing procedure, comprising:
receiving, by a serving gateway (SGW), a first bearer request sent by a packet data network gateway (PGW);
notifying, by the SGW, a mobility management network element (MME) to page a user;
receiving, by the SGW, an access mode of a current network sent by the MME;
comparing, by the SGW, the access mode of the current network with a recorded access mode of an original resident network;
notifying, by the SGW, the PGW of the access mode of the current network when a comparison result indicates that the access mode of the current network is different from the access mode of the original resident network;
receiving, by the SGW, a second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network sent by the PGW according to a policy and charging control (PCC) rule corresponding to the access mode of the current network; and performing the second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network;

receiving, by the PGW, a PCC rule corresponding to the access mode of the original resident network sent by a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) entity; and

a mobility management network element (MME) hardware device, configured to acquire an access mode of a current network;
a hardware serving gateway (SGW) device, configured to receive a first bearer request from a hardware packet data network gateway (PGW) device, notify the MME device to page a user, acquire the access mode of the current network from the MME device, compare the access mode of the current network with a recorded access mode of an original resident network, notify the PGW device of the access mode of the current network when a comparison result indicates that the access mode of the current network is different from the access mode of the original resident network, receive a second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network sent by the PGW device according to a policy and charging control (PCC) rule corresponding to the access mode of the current network, and perform the second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network; and
the PGW device, configured to send the first bearer request to the SGW device, receive the notify of the access mode of the current network from the SGW device, and send the second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network to the SGW device;

the PGW device, further configured to send the access mode of the current network acquired by the SGW device to the PCRF entity, acquire the PCC rule corresponding to the access mode of the current network from the PCRF entity, wherein the PGW device sends the second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network according to the acquired PCC rule to the SGW device; and

a comparing unit, configured to compare the access mode of the current network with a recorded access mode of an original resident network;
a notification unit, configured to notify the PGW device of the access mode of the current network received by the receiving unit when a comparison result indicates that the access mode of the current network is different from the access mode of the original resident network;
the bearer request receiving unit, further configured to receive a second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network sent by the PGW device according to a policy and charging control (PCC) rule corresponding to the access mode of the current network; and
a bearer processing unit, configured to perform the second bearer request corresponding to the access mode of the current network received by the bearer request receiving unit;
