Abstract  Abstract

A data transmission method is provided which includes the following steps. The system maps the modulated symbols including the data to be transmitted and the reference signals which are allocated to antenna ports of the appointed type to resource elements maps the modulated symbols which are mapped to the resource elements to antenna ports generates the OFDM signal from the signal mapped to antenna ports and then transmits the OFDM signal by physical antennas. The invention also discloses a data transmission apparatus. The data transmission method and the apparatus could add respective beam-forming weights to the users modulated symbols simultaneously and realize users beam-forming operation by founding the mapping rules between physical antenna elements and antenna ports. Thus the system could support the beam-forming transmission in the frequency domain flexibly and the flexibility of data transmission will be greatly enhanced.
