Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention provide a kind of capacity stations activation, where a coverage station sends the capacity stations activation control information which enables the capacity stations to send pilot signals to users in a power increment manner, receives the measurement result of the pilot signals measured by the users, determines the capacity stations which need to be activated to satisfy system requirement according to the measurement result, and sends activation information to the determined capacity stations which need to be activated in order to active them. The method and system for capacity stations activation in the embodiments of the present invention are able to more accurately determine the capacity stations which need to be activated, and able to control sending power of the activated capacity stations, reducing energy consumption of the whole system.
