Abstract  Abstract

The present application provides a communication method and apparatus. The method comprises: a terminal device determining a time synchronization period, the time synchronization period being N times the transmission period of a first signal; N ≥ 2, N being an integer; the terminal device determining a target signal group, the target signal group being a signal group used for time synchronization, the target signal group being a group of signals among N groups of the first signals that are sent or received by the terminal device within a time synchronization period, the time synchronization period being a period of time that lasts for one time synchronization period. The terminal device can determine the target signal group according to first indication information or a protocol agreement sent by the network device, and therefore, the target signal group for time synchronization determined by the network device and the target signal group for time synchronization determined by the terminal device are the same, thereby ensuring the reliability of time synchronization.
