Abstract  Abstract

The set allows wireless telephone communications with a base station. It includes a baseband processor (22) coupled to storage means (32) and an engine processor (40). The latter acts as a pilot. The signal from the modem processor is transformed into an analog signal which, after processing, forms an IF signal which is then amplified. The amplified signal is combined with a signal produced by a synthesizer (72) to give an RF wire. The baseband processor generates signals determining whether the subscriber set will be in the transmit or receive mode.
