Abstract  Abstract

MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS TERMINAL, AND, METHOD OF OPERATING A MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS TERMINAL. A mobile communications terminal communicates data using a mobile communications network. The mobile communication network including one or more base stations operable to provide a wireless access interface to the communications terminals; and one or more mobility managers operable to send and receive signaling packets to control user data communications between communications endpoints and a destination. The communications terminal is operable to communicate packets with one or more base stations in the mobile communication system over a wireless access interface provided by the one or more base stations; and to send a signaling packet to one or more mobility managers of the mobile communication system, the signaling packet including intended user data for a destination, before establishing a signaling connection with the one or more mobility managers. The one or more mobility managers are operable, upon receiving a signaling packet from a communications terminal and including intended user data for a destination, to detect that the packet is not associated with any (...).
