Abstract  Abstract

The precision of propagation path estimation in a case of receiving signals via a plurality of antennas is improved. A transmitting device at a base station end comprises a preamble A generating unit a preamble B generating unit phase rotating units multiplex units an error correction encoding units an S/P converting unit a mapping unit a switch IDFT units which may be substituted by IFFT units P/S converting units GI (Guard Interval) inserting units D/A converting units radio transmitting units and antenna units. The preamble A generating unit and preamble B generating unit generate preambles A and B respectively. The preamble A is outputted to the multiplex units while the preamble B is outputted to the phase rotating units. The phase rotating units then apply a continuous phase rotation to each of the subcarriers of the preamble B. In a base station end transmitting device according to the present embodiment not the phase rotating unit but only the phase rotating unit applies a phase rotation to the preamble B.
