Embodiments described herein relate generally to a random procedure between wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) and access nodes. The WTRU may then determine at least one of a resource and/or a logical root sequence index associated with the random access procedure. The WTRU may transmit a random access preamble based on the resource and/or a logical root sequence index.
