Abstract  Abstract

Techniques for receiving target media content are disclosed. The user equipment (UE) can receive first metadata having group information of a file corresponding to the target media content and MPD (media presentation description) information related to the file. Each file of group information is associated with a group identification information (ID) element. The second metadata may be received in a user service description (USD) that includes MPD information of the streaming media content. A user profile that includes a group ID element associated with the user may be identified. The target MPD information of the selected target media content with the group ID element included in the user profile may be inserted into the MPD information of the streaming media content to generate a merged MPD. The selected target media content and streaming media content may be received at the UD according to the merged MPD.
