A positioning system comprising a device for sending had prescribed a target moving terminal and locating information type of location request from a communication terminal and a locating network. Responding to locating request locating information type of received if the request specifies current location information last known location information location network produces current location information of the target mobile terminal and transmitting the current location information to the communication terminal and stores the last known location information in a memory as the target mobile terminal.
