Abstract  Abstract

The method involves dividing output bits of an encoder into bits having higher priority and bit having relatively lower priority. The bits having higher priority and the bits having relatively lower priority are modulated so that the divided bits having higher priority are situated in the first bit part and the divided bits having the relatively lower priority are situated in the second bit part. Independent claims are also included for the following; (1) a data processing apparatus (2) a method for receiving data of one symbol represented by a bit stream of at least three bits (3) an apparatus for receiving data.
