Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the apparatus and the method for transmitting/receiving data for improving the reliability of data bits to be transmitted in a code division multiple access mobile communications system.

SOLUTION: In data bits to be transmitted a bit of high priority is transmitted while being mapped at a bit position of high reliability among bits comprising a symbol and a bit with relatively low priority is transmitted while being mapped at the bit position of relatively low reliability. Thus the apparatus and the method for transmitting/receiving data which can improve the performance of the system when transmitting data are provided.
