Abstract  Abstract

A new and improved method for implementing a high-speed radio communication interface is described. The transmitting system creates a set of in-phase channels (90) and a set of quadrature channels (92). A set of common-mode channels (90) is used to create a complete set of orthogonal control channels and information exchange, having an average transmission rate. A set of quadrature channels (92) is used to create an additional channel with a high transmission rate and an extended set of channels with an average transmission speed that are orthogonal to each other and to the original channels with an average transmission speed. Generation of an additional channel with a high transmission rate is carried out on a set of channels with an average transmission rate using a short channel code. The generation of channels with an average transmission rate is carried out using a set of long channel codes. The international search report was published 1998.09.17.
