The invention relates to a method of transmitting data between at least two nodes of a network, a node being attached to at least one IP environment, called the original environment. According to the invention, such a method comprises: a step assigning, to at least one user agent included in one of said nodes, a fictitious address in an IP environment different from said original environment; a step of presenting at least said fictitious address and an address origin of said user agent in said home environment when establishing a communication with at least one remote node.
