Abstract  Abstract

A method for measuring the time related to satellite data messages for use with a satellite positioning system (SPS), said procedure comprising: receiving (324) in a first entity a first record of at least a part of a satellite data message from a satellite positioning system, the first registration having been initially received in a second remote entity and then sent to the first entity from the second remote entity; compare (325) said first record with a second record comprising a reference record of said satellite data message in which said first record and said second record overlap at least partially over time, said comparison being made after determining an estimated time when said first record was received by said second remote entity, in which said estimated time is used to specify a time interval relative to the second record to compare said record with the first registry; determine (327) a time since said comparison, said time indicating when said first record was received in the second remote entity, in which said second record is associated with the time of day information such that said time can be determined from the mentioned second record.
