Abstract
A method of carrying out a random access procedure on a radio interface, the method comprising the following steps in a mobile terminal: - transmitting (404) a synchronization request for synchronization information; - receive (406) a synchronization information in response to the synchronization request; - transmitting (408), based on at least one transmission parameter adjusted according to the desynchronization information, a resource request for the data transmission resources; e - initiating a synchronization timer in response to the reception of a synchronization information, where at or after the expiration of the synchronization timer, an additional desynchronization request prior to any data transmission is transmitted.
