Abstract  Abstract

A method for data transmission, comprising: receiving (901) a tag of a code word in an eight antenna coding book sent by a user equipment; search (902) in the codebook for eight antennas the code word identified by the tag; encode (903) the data to be sent using the code word; and send (903) the encoded data, wherein the method further comprises generating the coding book, wherein the coding book for eight antennas comprises at least one code word of range 8 for eight antennas, the word range code 8 for eight antennas is obtained by extending the words code range 4 for eight antennas, where the word code range 4 for eight antennas is obtained by multiplying the code word range 4 for four antennas with a diagonal matrix, and the concatenation of the word range code 4 for four antennas and a matrix obtained by multiplying the word range code 4 for four antennas with the diagonal matrix; or the word code of rank 4 for eight antennas is obtained by the multiplication of a first word code of rank 4 for four antennas with a diagonal matrix, and the concatenation of a second word code of rank 4 for four antennas and a matrix obtained by the multiplication of the first word range code 4 for four antennas with the diagonal matrix.
