Abstract  Abstract

The effect of the bad frame received by the speech multiplexer over the communication channel may be determined by adjusting the value of a parameter of the bad frame (a bad frame that is either a degraded frame or a lost frame) by at least partially adapting the recently received valid frame. It is hidden by substituting a value based on the average value. However, in the case of a degraded frame (as opposed to a lost frame), if the bad frame meets a predetermined criterion, the bad frame itself is used. The purpose of the concealment is to find the most suitable parameters for bad frames and to make the subjective quality of the synthesized speech as high as possible.
