Abstract  Abstract

The present invention provides a method for reducing the load on the home subscriber server (HSS) interface. After receiving a request message from the S-CSCF that stores the name of the serving call session control function (S-CSCF) and downloads the users subscription information, the HSS receives the name of the S-CSCF in the request message. Is first saved and a response message containing the users subscription information is sent back to the S-CSCF. The present invention simplifies the inquiry step for user subscription information, optimizes service procedures, and reduces the load on the HSS interface. In addition, when the inquiry message is received from the I-CSCF, the HSS sends a response message containing the S-CSCF name and the S-CSCF capability information set that has the ability to satisfy the most stringent service subscription request of the UE. It returns immediately to the I-CSCF and further reduces the load on the HSS interface. The present invention is highly compatible and extensible because it does not affect existing network architecture and service implementation and does not require modification of existing interface specifications.
