PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide in a communication system a method and device for transmitting channel quality information and a method and device for restoring channel quality information.

SOLUTION: A transmitter periodically transmits channel quality information reporting to a receiving entity in a communication system comprises a transmission part to transmit first channel quality information reporting which reports the average of channel quality of a resource block at a first prescribed reporting frequency and second channel quality information reporting on a preferable subset of the resource block. The transmission part transmits second channel quality information reporting during two transmissions of first channel quality information reporting. A receiver corresponding to the transmitter is also provided.
