Techniques relating to a relay link setup method and apparatus for transmitting data frames using a relay in a wireless communication system are disclosed. According to this technique, in a relay link setup method of a source station in a wireless communication system, receiving capability information of at least one or more relay support stations included in the wireless communication system from an access point or a PCP; Selecting one of the relay support stations as a relay station using beamforming information and the capability information between a source station, a destination station and the relay support station; and a relay link to the destination station Transmitting a setup request frame; and receiving a relay link setup response frame including relay link setup result information from the destination station.
