Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay link setup method for transmitting a data frame by using a relay in a radio communication system.

SOLUTION: The method includes steps of: receiving capability information on at least one or more relay assisting stations included in a radio communication system from an access point 201 or a PCP; selecting any one of the relay assisting stations by using channel measurement information and the capability information among a source station 203 a destination station 207 and a relay assisting station 205 as a relay station; transmitting a relay link setup request frame to the destination station in S215; and receiving a relay link setup response frame including relay link setup result information from the destination station in S217. The relay link setup request frame and the relay link setup response frame pass through the relay station.
