Abstract  Abstract

Disclosed is a technique relating to a method and to an apparatus for setting up a relay link in order to transmit a data frame using a relay in a wireless communication system. According to the technique provided is a method in which a source station sets up a relay link in a wireless communication system wherein the method comprises: a step of receiving from an access point or a PCP capability information of at least one or more relay support stations of the wireless communication system; a step of selecting one of the relay support stations as a relay station using the beamforming information among the source station a destination station and the relay support stations and the received capability information; a step of transmitting a relay link setup request frame to the destination station; and a step of receiving from the destination station a relay link setup response frame containing information on the result of the relay link setup wherein the relay link setup request frame and the relay link setup response frame pass through the relay station.
