Abstract  Abstract

The embodiment of the present specification relates to a method in a user apparatus (10) for transmitting uplink control information to a radio base station in a plurality of time slots in a subframe via a radio channel. The radio channel is configured to carry uplink control information, and the user equipment and the radio base station are provided in a radio communication network. The uplink control information is included in a multi-bit block. The user apparatus maps a block of multiple bits to a sequence of complex value modulation symbols. The user equipment also block spreads the sequence of complex-valued modulation symbols into a plurality of discrete Fourier transform spread-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFTS-OFDM) symbols. This is done by applying a spreading sequence to a sequence of complex valued modulation symbols to obtain a block spread sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The user apparatus further converts the block spreading sequence of complex-value modulation symbols for each DFTS-OFDM symbol. This is done by applying a matrix that depends on at least one of the DFTS-OFDM symbol index and the slot index to the block spreading sequence of complex-valued modulation symbols. The user apparatus also transmits the converted block spread sequence of the complex value modulation symbol to the radio base station via the radio channel.
