Abstract  Abstract

The set of resource aggregation levels available to form the advanced control channel varies from subframe to subframe based on the level of rupture in the transmitted subframe. The example method begins by determining 2710 a series of aggregation level members that can be used to aggregate non-overlapping subsets of resource elements for transmitting downlink control information. This determination is based on the level of rupture used for transmission of downlink control information. Downlink control information for a given subframe is mapped to one or more non-overlapping subsets of resource elements in at least one block of time-frequency resources according to an aggregation level selected from the determined set ( 2720). This method is repeated for each of several subframes, where the burst is different for each subframe. (Selection) Figure 27
