Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an error rate on the reception side when an identical transmission data is retransmitted from the transmission side in wireless communication by use of CDMA.

SOLUTION: A spread code to be allocated for the transmission data in second transmission (retransmission) is changed from a spread code allocated in the previous transmission. For example when transmitting a first packet (transmission for the first time) symbols 1 to 4 are spread by a spread code #0 whilst when transmitting a second packet (retransmission) the symbols 1 to 4 are spread by a spread code #1. As a result on the receiver side by synthesizing the signals after dispreading each symbol obtained through a plurality of reception the reception symbol having an extremely low reception level can be eliminated. Thus improved reception quality is obtained.
