Abstract
The present invention relates to a mobile communication system, and more particularly, to an apparatus and method for cell search between an asynchronous base station and a mobile station.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a cell search apparatus for a mobile communication system, comprising: a base station group designation code predeterminer for preforming a base station group designation code for a slot time-synchronized synchronization channel; And a base station group designation code detector for detecting a code having a minimum distance evaluation amount among the calculation results as a base station group designation code.
