Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for retrieving cells of a mobile communication system, is provided to pre-decide a synchronizing code having a maximum correlation, among correlations detected through an auto-correlation function for every slot by received frames, as a base station specific code, and to detect frame synchronization and base station groups so that a hardware load can be eliminated. And, the method is provided to perform channel compensation through a primary synchronization channel, then detect base station groups for a secondary synchronization channel and perform frame synchronization so as to eliminate errors caused by pre-deciding the base station groups. CONSTITUTION: Base station group specific codes are pre-decided. Synchronizing channel correlations of each channel which configures frames synchronized with slot time are detected. A synchronizing code having a maximum correlation is decided as a base station group specific code. The base station group specific code performs cyclic shift operations on the basis of a base station group specific code table. A code having a minimum distance evaluation amount among the operation results is decided as a base station group specific code.
