Abstract  Abstract

A CQI(Channel Quality Information) transmission method based on a differential scheme is provided to be capable of transmitting CQI in subband differential CQI scheme on a frequency selective channel, thereby more efficiently transmitting CQI for plural subbands. An average value of CQI for overall frequency band is transmitted. A receiver selects the predetermined number of subbands in sequence of channel quality being good, and transmits CQI for the selected subbands. When the CQI is transmitted, the CQI is transmitted in a type of subband differential information which subtracts the average value of the CQI for the overall frequency band from the CQI for the predetermined number of the subbands.
