Abstract  Abstract

1. A method for detecting a wireless base station (BS), comprising the steps of: receiving a wireless signal containing at least a first and second time cycle, and obtaining a pilot detection signal from one resource of the first time cycle and from another resource of the second time cycle .2. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of: obtaining a second detection pilot signal from a second time cycle resource that is different from another resource, wherein the detection pilot signal is a significant interference source of the second detection pilot signal in the first time cycle. The method of claim 2, further comprising connecting to a base station identified from the second acquisition pilot. The method of claim 3, wherein connecting to the identified base station further comprises at least one of the steps of: initial accessing the identified base station; initiating a UE-initiated handover of the identified base station; or simplify network-initiated handover of the identified base station by reporting the identifier of such a base station to a serving base station. The method of claim 2, further comprising initiating interference avoidance from a base station identified from the second acquisition pilot signal. The method of claim 5, wherein initiating the interference avoidance comprises at least one of the steps of: providing a characteristic of the signals of the second pilot detection signal in id
