Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: information technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention describes techniques of uninterrupted transmission of information while changing encryption configuration. User equipment (UE) is connected to a wireless data network for calling. UE sends first information to the wireless network using a first encryption configuration. To change the encryption configuration the UE selects activation time for a second encryption configuration and sends a security message with the activation time. This activation time is time in which the UE receives the second encryption configuration for transmission to the wireless network. Further the UE sends second information (for example a reply message on measurements) using the first encryption configuration after sending the security message and before the activation time. UE sends third information using the second encryption configuration after the activation time. ^ EFFECT: information transmission while changing encryption configuration. ^ 25 cl 8 dwg
