Abstract
A radio communication apparatus is provided which includes a receiver and a controller. The receiver in operation receives a first power headroom (PHR) which is obtained by subtracting a transmit power for a data channel from a maximum transmit power at a mobile station and which is transmitted from the mobile station and receives a second PHR which is obtained by subtracting the transmit power for the data channel and a transmit power for a control channel from the maximum transmit power at the mobile station and which is transmitted from the mobile station. The controller in operation selectively sets a simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in different frequency bands to be performed by the mobile station. When the data channel and the control channel are simultaneously transmitted in different frequency bands from the mobile station the second PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station.

Claim
1. A radio communication apparatus comprising:
a receiver which, in operation, receives a first power headroom (PHR), which is obtained by subtracting a transmit power for a data channel from a maximum transmit power at a mobile station and which is transmitted from the mobile station, and receives a second PHR, which is obtained by subtracting the transmit power for the data channel and a transmit power for a control channel from the maximum transmit power at the mobile station and which is transmitted from the mobile station; and
a controller which, in operation, selectively sets a simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in different frequency bands to be performed by the mobile station,
wherein when the data channel and the control channel are simultaneously transmitted in different frequency bands from the mobile station, the second PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station.
2. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a transmitter which, in operation, transmits scheduling information based on the first PHR and the second PHR to the mobile station.
3. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when a simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in the different frequency bands is configured for the mobile station, the second PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station.
4. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein: when a simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in the different frequency bands is not configured for the mobile station, the first PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station; and when the simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in the different frequency bands is configured for the mobile station, the second PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station.
5. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the data channel and the control channel are simultaneously transmitted by transmitting the data channel and the control channel in a same subframe from the mobile station.
6. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the maximum transmit power used for obtaining the second PHR has a value obtained by subtracting an offset from the maximum transmit power used for obtaining the first PHR.
7. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein when the control channel is not transmitted from the mobile station, the second PHR is transmitted as a MAC element in the data channel from the mobile station.
8. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein a number of bits for the first PHR is same as a number of bits for the second PHR.
9. The radio communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the data channel is a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), and the control channel is a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH).
10. A radio communication method comprising:
receiving a first power headroom (PHR), which is obtained by subtracting a transmit power for a data channel from a maximum transmit power at a mobile station and which is transmitted from the mobile station;
receiving a second PHR, which is obtained by subtracting the transmit power for the data channel and a transmit power for a control channel from the maximum transmit power at the mobile station and which is transmitted from the mobile station; and
selectively setting a simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in different frequency bands to be performed by the mobile station,
wherein when the data channel and the control channel are simultaneously transmitted in different frequency bands from the mobile station, the second PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station.
11. The radio communication method according to claim 10, further comprising transmitting scheduling information based on the first PHR and the second PHR to the mobile station.
12. The radio communication method according to claim 10, wherein when a simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in the different frequency bands is configured for the mobile station, the second PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station.
13. The radio communication method according to claim 10, wherein: when a simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in the different frequency bands is not configured for the mobile station, the first PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station; and when the simultaneous transmission of the data channel and the control channel in the different frequency bands is configured for the mobile station, the second PHR is obtained and transmitted from the mobile station.
14. The radio communication method according to claim 10, wherein the data channel and the control channel are simultaneously transmitted by transmitting the data channel and the control channel in a same subframe from the mobile station.
15. The radio communication method according to claim 10, wherein the maximum transmit power used for obtaining the second PHR has a value obtained by subtracting an offset from the maximum transmit power used for obtaining the first PHR.
16. The radio communication method according to claim 10, wherein when the control channel is not transmitted from the mobile station, the second PHR is transmitted as a MAC element in the data channel from the mobile station.
