Abstract  Abstract

ABSTRACT A method for multiplexing data including: receiving data over a plurality of logical channels; multiplexing data from the plurality of logical channels into a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) based on a priority associated with each of the plurality of the logical channels; and transmitting the MAC PDU over an uplink transport channel. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) including: means for receiving data over a plurality of logical channels; a multiplexing means for multiplexing data from the plurality of logical channels into a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) based on a priority associated with each of the plurality of the logical channels; and means for transmitting the MAC PDU over an uplink transport channel.
