Method for communicating scrambling code id in mobile communication system A method for transmitting a channel signal to a base station of a mobile communication system that scrambles a common channel signal using a code is disclosed. scramble primary to identify the base station. the method comprises determining an identifier (id) of a secondary scrambling code upon receipt of a dedicated channel assignment request from a mobile station; transmitting the determined id of the secondary scrambling code to the mobile station and waiting for a response; upon receiving a response message from a mobile station, generating a scrambling primary code and scrambling secondary code using a scrambling primary code id and the scrambling secondary code id; and scrambling a common channel signal using the scramble primary code, scrambling a dedicated channel signal using the scramble secondary code, and transmitting scrambled channel signals.
