Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims a mobile communication system in a base station of a method for transmitting a channel signal the base station uses a first scrambling code identifying the base station for scrambling a common channel signal. the method comprises: when receiving the dedicated channel allocation request from the mobile station determining a second scrambling code identifier (ID) transmitting the determined second scrambling code identifier (ID) to the mobile station and waiting for response; when the response message is received from the mobile station using the first scrambling code ID and the ID of the second scrambling code generating a first scrambling code and a second scrambling code and the first scrambling code scrambling a common channel signal and the dedicated channel signal scrambled using the second scrambling code and the transmit channel signal scrambled.
