Abstract  Abstract

INTERRUPTION OF USE OF FREQUENCY LAYER CONVERGENCE SCHEME. The present invention relates to the interruption of the use of a frequency layer convergence scheme which favors the selection of a cell at a preferred frequency of a multi-point point service to which it is associated. Specifically, a mobile terminal that has associated a multi-point point service that has a preferred frequency uses a frequency layer convergence scheme to select a cell. The frequency layer convergence scheme favors the selection of a cell in the preferred frequency layer. However, the use of the frequency layer convergence scheme is interrupted when a trigger occurs.
