Abstract
The invention claims a frequency selection method for multimedia broadcasting/multicast service and a mobile terminal for performing the method. The frequency selection method for multimedia broadcasting/multicast service is carried out by the mobile terminal and comprises: receiving message indicating the interruption of the MBMS frequency selection process wherein said message initiates the re-allocation process; and if the mobile terminal is not in the CELL_DCH the MBMS frequency selection process is stopped wherein the MBMS frequency selection process allows the mobile terminal to select the optimal frequency of the MBMS service.
