Abstract
The invention claims a frequency selection method and a mobile terminal thereof for multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS). The method is executed by the mobile terminal and comprises steps as follows: starting MBMS frequency selection process to receive the MBMS service; receiving a message indicating interruption of the frequency selection process of the MBMS; and stopping the MBMS frequency selection process if the mobile terminal is not in CELL-DCH state wherein the MBMS frequency selection process allows the mobile terminal to selected a preferred frequency and the preferred frequency is contained in information element IE and indicated from the network.
