Abstract
The invention claims a frequency selection method for multimedia broadcasting/multicast service and mobile terminal thereof. frequency selection method performed by a mobile terminal of the multimedia broadcast/multicast service and the method comprising: starting MBMS frequency selection process to receive the MBMS service receiving the message. the message indicates the MBMS frequency selection process interruption and if the mobile terminal is not in CELL-DCH state stopping the MBMS frequency selection process wherein the MBMS frequency selection process allows the mobile terminal to selected a preferred frequency and and the preferred frequency is contained in information element IE and indicated from the network.
