Abstract  Abstract

TRANSMISSION RATE CONTROL METHOD, MOBILE STATION, RADIO BASE STATION, AND RADIO NETWORK CONTROLLER. A baud rate control method for controlling, in a mobile station, an uplink user data baud rate, in a radio communication system capable of controlling ambient noise, a link user data baud rate based on an absolute transmission rate transmitted over an E-AGCH and a relative transmission rate transmitted over an E-RGCH, includes: notification, from a radio network controller to the mobile station, of E-AGCH identification information to be transmitted from a service cell, and non-notification from the radio network controller to the mobile station of an E-RGCH identification information when the mobile station establishes an E-DPDCH; and controlling at the mobile station the baud rate of uplink user data based on the absolute baud rate which is received from the service cell via the E-AGCH, without regard to the relative baud rate. .
