Abstract  Abstract

The invention claims reliability detection of channel quality indicator and the outer loop power control. A method of the invention which is used in a wireless communication network a channel quality indicator (CQI) of the reliability is improved it is received from the CQI information the CQI information is then decoded. and each symbol in the CQI information a decision route metric value is calculated the CQI information of a largest decision route metric value and the second largest decision route metric value is determined the reliability of the CQI information can be is determined by comparing the two largest decision route metric value. The method is applied to time division duplex frequency division duplex or other transmission mode of high speed downlink packet access.
